Effect of Corydalidis Tuber·Paeoniae Radix Rubra·Carthami Flos Complex Herbal Acupuncture on Inflamation and Liver in Rats with Arthritis induced by Freund`s Complete Adjuvant

Abstract
|
|
|
Objective : In order to study on the effect of Corydalidis Tuber * Paeoniae Radix Rubra * Carthami Flos Complex Herbal Acupuncture on Inflamation and Liver in Rats with Arthritis induced by Freund´s Complete Adjuvant.
Methods : All the male Sprague Daeley rats used in this study were bred. The experimental model of Adjuvant arthritis was induced by injecting Freund´s Complete Adjuvant into Rats, and then Herb-acupunctured with Corydalis Tuber * Paeoniae Radix Rubra - Carthami Flos was injected on the subcutaneous tissue and into Zusanli(ST36). And the changes of edema and constituent of blood was measured.
Results : 1. All Herb-acupuntured group showed the great decrease of edema compared with control group.
2. The total count of WBC in Grydalidis Tuber - Paeoniae Radix Rubra * Carthami Flos complex herbal acupuncture-subcutaneous injected group showed significant decrease compared with that of control group.
3. The volum of serum total protein in Corydalidis Tuber * Paeoniae Radix Rubra - Carthami Flos complex herbal acupuncture-subcutane ous injected group group showed significant decrease compared with that of control group.
4. The volum of serum total GOT in saline-injected group at ST36 and Corydalidis Tuber * Paeoniae Radix Rubra * Carthami Flos complex herbal acupuncture -injected group at ST36 group showed significant decrease compared with that of control group.
5. The volum of serum total GOT in Corydalidis Tuber * Paeoniae Radix Rubra * Carthami Flos complex herbal acupuncture-injected group at ST36 showed significant decrease compared with that of control group.
Conclusion : According to the above results, it was concluded that Corydalidis Tuber * Paeoniae Radix Rubra * Carthami Flos complex herbal acupuncture showed effect of anti-inflammation and no injury to Liver in adjuvant arthritis.
